Create a Support Group
In your community, if there is no support group for those with hepatitis C; consider creating one in your area. Joining a support group has many benefits, a decreased sense of isolation being possibly one of the greatest benefits. When being faced with hepatitis C, having a group setting to work your way through feelings of anger, depression, guilt and anxiety can be a safe way to work through emotions during your or a family members health crisis. Support group members often realize how their experiences in the group have created a special bond and identity between group members. By sharing feelings, accomplishments, losses, and humor known only to those who have been diagnosed with hepatitis C, members can develop strong emotional ties to one another.
