World Hepatitis Awareness Day 

On October 1, 2006, the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe joined with European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) and patient advocacy groups throughout the world joined together to mark World Hepatitis Awareness Day. At an event to commemorate the observance in Copenhagen, governments around the world were urged to prioritize hepatitis on their national agendas.
